What is baptism?

Baptism is one of the most central events in the Christian life. Baptism marks the initiation of a person into the Christian faith. It is considered a symbolic act representing the beginning of faith and spiritual rebirth. During baptism, you are fully submerged in the water, which symbolizes purification from sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ. In the Bible, Jesus says that if you believe in Him, you must be baptized.
