Familenetværkets julefest – En aften fyldt med glæde og fællesskab

Der var julestemning i luften og varme i hjertet, da Familienetværket onsdag d. 17. december samlede omkring 200 glade gæster og næsten lige så mange dedikerede frivillige til årets store julefest. Det blev en aften fyldt med smil, latter, samtaler og rørende øjeblikke – en sand fejring af fællesskab, håb og kærlighed.

Ved familiebordene summede snakken livligt, mens børnene morede sig med leg og latter. Tryllekunstneren fortryllede de små med sit magiske show, og mange voksne fangede sig selv i at smile lige så bredt som børnene. Stemningen toppede, da Athalia og Clara sang deres smukke julesange, som rørte både hjerter og tårer hos mange.

Omkring 40 mennesker bad denne aften om forbøn og delte stærke vidnesbyrd om helbredelse og håb – et bevægende tegn på, at julens mirakel stadig lever midt iblandt os.

I køkkenet tryllede David igen lækker mad frem, og som altid gik ingen sultne hjem. Til dessert blev det hele rundet af med den klassiske julemandsoptræden: Børnene fik glædestrålende udleveret deres slikposer, mens forældrene fik gavekort til madindkøb – en kærkommen håndsrækning i juletiden.

Af hjertet tak til alle, der kom, bidrog og gjorde denne aften uforglemmelig. Uden jer – gæster, frivillige og menighedens trofaste ildsjæle – var der ingen julefest. Sammen skabte vi varme, fællesskab og håb, der rækker langt ud over aftenen selv.

Årets julefest blev stolt sponsoreret af KIT – Kirkernes Integrationstjeneste. En dybfølt tak for deres generøse støtte med at hjælpe familier i svære livssituationer. The Family Network Christmas party - party of the ❤️

The Family Network's Christmas party invites many families to a Christmas dinner in loving fellowship. Registration is only for vulnerable families who are already members of the Family Network. Registration is via the Facebook group “Familienetværk Aarhus V”.

If you have time on December 17th, please lend a hand and help us make the evening unforgettable and magical for the many adults, children and young people who have nowhere else to be during Christmas. We need extra hands from 1pm-8pm. It would be a huge help if you could just help for a few hours at the beginning or at the very end, where we need strong arms to put all the tables back in place and help with cleaning.

A good story from the Family Network ❤️ and an update!

There are still a lot of good things happening in Family Network contexts. We don't make as much noise as we usually do, as the resources are on a volunteer basis, so there is a limit to what we can write down and get out of good stories. But they are there – nonstop!

We see the diakonia flourish, the number of people who show up increase and the demand for our help is more than we can cover, but we do what we can. We see in particular more and more Muslim families coming to us hungry for faith, hope, love, which we try to embrace as best we can. More and more of them are asking for intercession after they get to know us and we also see answers to prayers from big to small.

Here is one of many good stories/answered prayers from a Muslim girl ❤️

Just before summer vacation, a 9-year-old girl asked for our help in praying that Jesus would send her a bike, because she had nothing to do, go to, or any summer vacation experiences to look forward to, but she wanted to ride a bike if possible! So we prayed…! ❤️

A few days later, an email came that the Family Network had been granted some bicycles that would arrive at our door and vulnerable children could simply come and pick them up. There were enough bicycles for both the girl and her siblings, who have wanted bicycles for a long time, but the family has not been able to afford them due to the small amount of money available! ❤️ The mother, moved and grateful, picked up bicycles for the whole group and her best THANK YOU was an ethnic dish that several of us from the leadership team ate at our next planning meeting.

This testimony with the girl's prayer and an answer right after gives FAITH that God hears prayer and acts on our prayer. 🔥 God has a way of doing more than what we ask for 😊 We asked for a bicycle, but he sent so that all 4 siblings in need got one each.

We need help

Mette Knudsen has unfortunately had to resign due to health reasons after a car accident. So we are in need of hands and people who are willing to help and support not only the practical aspects, but also the planning of our activities. Thank you for praying for new solutions and new colleagues in this context.

We would also like to mention that we have sent out 13-14 applications for targeted fundraising for the Family Network. Nothing has come in yet, so thank you for any prayers regarding finances for the Family Network and hours for employees to run it. If you feel like blessing the Family Network with an amount, it is most welcome. Just contact Johnny Hansen if you feel like blessing the Family Network with finances for next season.

We are here to reach out to vulnerable families, parents and children/youth who need to be seen, heard and hugged.

We offer exciting and free activities for vulnerable families, parents and children/youth who could use more activities or help in everyday life.

We meet and start out by enjoying some Danish hygge, drink coffee and eat snacks.

Afterwards, the adults gather in a group by themselves, while wonderful volunteers play and do creative things with the children. Then we eat together and end with a devotional for those who wish to participate.

The Family Network meets two Wednesdays a month in odd-numbered weeks, usually in the late afternoon.
