City Church collaborations

The City Church is an independent free church.

Theologically and relationally, we have roots in and connection to both Mosaik (formerly Pentecostal Churches of Denmark) and the Apostolic Church in Denmark.
Structurally, we are an independent free church, which is part of Frikirkenet.
In terms of cooperation, we want to be able to work together with all Christian churches in Denmark and are part of the Evangelical Alliance in Aarhus.

A free church relates to a national church a bit like a free school relates to a public school, essentially the same purpose clause (see our vision and values), but not linked to the state either financially or managerially. As a free church, we are self-financing and typically services in a free church are more "loose" compared to the liturgy and style you may be used to from the national church.

The City Church arose as an merger of churches from the Apostolic Church in Denmark and from the Pentecostal Church (see our history) and therefore we have our roots in and special relationships with these two denominations. In addition, it is our desire to both cooperate with and have good relations with all Christian churches.

The priests in the City Church are affiliated with either the Apostolic Church's service community or Mosaik's. The church has also assigned a supervisor from these two denominations, for the time being Jacob Viftrup and Tonny Jacobsen.

The City Church is also a member of Frikirkenet, which is an umbrella organization for around 100 free churches and organisations.

The two above-mentioned denominations also run the following boarding schools, which we would like to recommend:
