Citykirken Classic

Tuesday September 16th we will pray together at Citykirken Aarhus.

Tuesday September 23rd, Carsten Jensen, associate pastor at Aalborg Pentecostal Church, will be speaking about prayer.

We meet at Citykirken's premises at 14 to approx. 16. Everyone is welcome.

Coffee and cake costs 30 DKK but otherwise Classic is free.

Life Walks at Citykirken Aarhus

When: September - December 2025

Do you long to share your life with another person?
Life Walks is about two people agreeing to meet and talk about the important and meaningful things in life. It is inviting another person along on your life and faith journey and figuratively walking together. Together you can open up, ask questions, reflect and create space to gain something from each other and each other's experiences - despite differences.

Our Life Walks program supports Citykirken's desire to facilitate communities where we can be curious about each other's faith and lives, and through that explore what it means to believe in Jesus and live our lives as Christians.

It runs until Christmas, and you commit to meeting 2-3 times a month for about an hour with your Life Walks partner.

New in faith?

As a new believer, it can be difficult to know where to go for knowledge. We want to help you with that.

That's why we're starting a completely new course on Sunday September 14th. The course will last 12 Sundays in a row from 9:45 to 10:15 in the pre-office on the 1st floor. There will be approximately 15-20 minutes of presentation and then an opportunity for questions. Of course, we'll finish so we can join the church service.

It is completely non-committal.

JOIN
- for those of you considering joining Citykirken

JOIN is an introductory course for you, regardless of whether you are new to the church or just never became a member.

At JOIN, you will be introduced to our vision, mission, theology, values, culture and have the opportunity to ask questions and talk to our priests. In addition, you have the opportunity to meet others who are new to the church.

We will also help you join one of our city groups, teams or anything else you may wish. The best way to join our community is to get involved.

Next time is Saturday September 13th at 9-14.Breakfast, coffee and lunch are served in connection with the course. Everyone is welcome and it's completely free. If you have questions about JOIN, you can email one of the pastors.

Pulse meeting

Sunday September 21st at 12:30-15:00

Look forward to an afternoon focused on gratitude and community. We share life in the church as a community over a meal. Pulse is for everyone who is interested in Citykirken.

Holy Spirit Night

Mark your calendar and get excited for Holy Spirit Night on Sunday October 5th at 19:00

Holy Spirit Night is an evening focusing on what the Holy Spirit can and will do today.
Come and join us in worshiping God and experiencing His presence through praise and prayer.

Everyone is welcome.

Gospel service

On Sunday October 19th from 14:00-15:30, we will have another gospel service in Citykirken and it will be awesome!

If you can't wait that long, Saved By Grace will also participate in the Sunday morning service at Citykirken on September 21st at 10:30. Bergur Skovgaard is preaching.

Gospel services are for everyone. Together with the gospel choir Saved by Grace and Nikolaj Kirkegaard Munk at the keys, the choir's conductor Charlotte Dahl Søby will lead the music, so that we can all open our eyes to what gospel music can do.

There will also be a short devotional, quiet time, prayer stations and time to be present in His presence.

We look forward to creating some unforgettable moments with you in a lovely community and ending in the café with coffee/tea and something sweet.

Nærvær - Friday September 26th at 18:00

Welcome to 'NÆRVÆR' 🙌🏻
Nærvær (presence) is church for the youth.

We're starting up again after the summer and will therefore start with pizza at 18:00

At 19:00 we get down to business. The vision and heart behind Nærvær is simple – we want to exalt, experience and gather around Jesus together. As the name suggests, we want to be in God’s presence and each other’s. That’s why we open up the café at the end of the evening for a good time with delicious food, great conversations, games and lots of quality time.

You're also welcome to join us at 18:45 for prayer.

BOOST - if you would like a youth blessing

BOOST is an alternative or supplement to confirmation education for you if you would like to learn more about the Christian faith and do cool things with other young people.

BOOST starts in October and the youth blessing itself will be on Sunday May 3rd 2026.

It is free and everyone in the 7th grade is welcome.

Ledertrainee 2025/2026

As leaders in Citykirken, we see it as our noblest task to foster new leaders and to invest in the next generation. Networking and good relationships are an important part of our DNA. We look forward to hanging out, sharing life, work, leading, having fun, inspiring and challenging each other and building the church together.

So if you are young and want to lead or already lead an area in the church, we would like to have you join the course, which runs for a year.

A huge effort is being made from all sides to help Ukrainians who have come to Denmark.

This also applies to Citykirken Aarhus. In close cooperation with Aarhus Municipality and various aid organisations, we are deeply involved in helping.
